PPKUKM Agency Successfully Holds Dozens of Bazaars in Jakarta

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Sub-agency has managed to hold dozens od bazaars in Jakarta. The bazaar itself was held from March to April 2023 in five administrative city areas and Seribu Islands.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Dante Allo expressed the bazaar event was held to provide convenience for SMEs in marketing their products to the wider community.

"It is held at the same time in order to realize the commitment to empower MSMEs," she expressed, Monday (5/8).

PPKUKM Agency Intensifies Supervision of Food and Beverage Products

She explained it is one of the government's efforts to support the use of local products in a bid to improve the community's economy through the Domestic Product Improvement Program (P3DN).

He explained MSMEs had succeeded in reaping a turnover of a total of Rp 1.3 billion from 63 bazaars that had been held. This amount shows that people have high purchasing power for local products.

Besides high purchasing power, competitiveness between MSME products, especially in Jakarta is also capable of increasing the use of domestic products.

"It will also improve the community's economy," she added.

She said one example of increasing the competitiveness of MSME products is its success in penetrating a wider market.

"It can be seen from the presence of several MSME products in various retail stores such as food halls to ranch markets," she stated.
